About

I am Lyssa. Catholic wife to Dan, aunt to over 20 nieces and nephews (and counting!), godmother to a handful, and (hopeful) spiritual mother to many more! Late endometriosis warrior (diagnosed at age 34), now with over 6 years of primary infertility.

I have always loved to write. I was a journalism major at one time until a college career counselor sat me down in her office, looked me in the eye, and told me I was not meant to sit behind a desk. I changed my mind that day and set my sights on a career in healthcare. Today I work as an occupational therapist in an assisted living and memory care facility where I have a heart for individuals with dementia.

I continued to journal through the years until even that came to an abrupt stop when I met and fall in love with Dan in 2015. I have missed writing and Fruitful Fiat is my little comeback!

Experiencing infertility (largely in silence) over the last several years has changed me. I have pondered the Faith in new ways and have so much to share about the goodness of God. My hope and prayer is that the Spirit prompts my writing and not the other way around. Pray for me to be humble, charitable, and discerning in anything and everything that I share through this website. Thank you for visiting. 🙂
